Your photography is very professional and certainly shows the local flora, fona and beautiful White Pines\" setting and ammenities. Your wild life photography is amazing and indicated you must carry your equipment with you at all time. The fox tracks in the snow, the rainbow over F-GNUI suggest are fleeting moments in time. We had such a great time minus the hornets :) The kids loved all the other kids to hang out with instead of boring parents. Taylor and Maddie were so great to spend time with them. I've included some pictures and I also just finished a book on shutterfy.com from the Canada trip and then my next trip to near Alexandria Bay at my Aunt and Uncle's Cabin. I am so bummed I forgot to get the tubing pics of Scott and Darian. If you still have the pictures, I would love to have some of the good ones! I'll see if I can send you a digital copy of the book. When I was at the St Lawrence we saw more loons and even got a few pictures - nothing compared to the beautiful one I got from you. I love their call - I bought a little stuffed loon that I squeeze and amuse myself. Lauren is back at college-moved into a bright pink room. Scott just passed his driving test and got contact lenses so he is looking cool for school. Hope all your kids are doing well and hubby is staying out of "serious" trouble. First and foremost I'd like to present our gratitude to the Popkie's, for an excellent stay and a vacation full of memories. The thing we noticed immediately upon arrival was the care that everyone put into running your resort. The atmosphere was VERY clean, attractive, friendly, and kept up to the demands of typical vacationers like us. All of us were contented with something to do, and idleness was nonexistent until bedtime. There is nothing like reading, fishing, swimming, sporting a tan, or getting to know your neighbors, or the Popkie's! Why not take the ATV out for a spin, or nap on the dock? How can you compare the shining night sky and shooting stars, with the pale urban gloom that plagues us back south? Why not end the perfect day with a full belly by the fire under the twinkling canopy above? ONLY AT THE WHITE PINES! It felt like a second home, and I especially feel broken after leaving when our week was over. I think if given the chance, we all would have jumped into the clouds at the proclamation of staying forever.It makes me sad to think of whether or not we'll return, but I doubt it will take much family talk to consider coming back next summer! Until then, i'll just brood by day and dream of our return. ha ha. As well, our three sons have so many great memories of the time they spent with their grandparents up at the lake. The stories seem to get better the more often their re-told *smile. I just had to take a moment to tell you how much I have enjoyed viewing your photographs. You are so talented. Each photo seems to capture a magical moment. Hope you have a good winter and I know my parents are looking forward to being back to the cottage this summer. Posted on April 03, 2007, at 11:14 AM by carmen and jerry dillon we have been coming to the white pines since 1984 and started camping in a pop up trailer and ended up in a 28 foot trailer on the water front. we now rent a cabin . carmen gets out in her canoe to go painting and i am out in my boat jigging for a pickeral. white pines is a place where you will want to come back to year after year.
