White Pines Resort is family-owned by Shawn and Valerie Popkie, along with their children Brandon, Taylor, and Madison. Our award-winning resort, praised for enhancing the natural beauty of the Calabogie area, features 7 well-maintained housekeeping cottages, 6 two-bedroom units and 1 three-bedroom. Each cottage has a private deck with stunning lake views and includes a full bathroom, fully equipped kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, utensils, and cooking tools), as well as comforters, pillows, and blankets (guests provide their own sheets and pillowcases). Outdoor amenities include picnic tables, fire pits, and optional gas BBQs.
Our cottage rentals near Ottawa come with complimentary use of kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, and one boat docking slip per cottage, with motorboat rentals available. Firewood for indoor fireplaces and campfirewood for outdoor fire pits are provided on request.
Our pet-free, self-catering cottages are available for weekly rentals from late June to Labor Day (Sat-Sat) and on a daily basis (2-night minimum, 3-night minimum long weekends) for the rest of the year. Rates include all taxes (13% HST), and any last-minute summer cancellations will be posted for daily rental opportunities.

two bedroom cottages ( #2-#6 )
All five waterfront two-bedroom cottages feature private or shared docks, with renovated bathrooms (4-piece except cottage #4, which has a 3-piece) and comfortable memory foam mattresses. Cottages #2, 3, 4, and 5 have double beds in each room, while cottage #6 includes a double bed downstairs and two twin beds upstairs. All cottages have electric heating, and four include fireplaces or woodstoves. New kitchens were added to cottages #2 and #4 in 2024, and cottages #5 and #3 will be updated in 2025. Our deluxe cottage features a charming fieldstone fireplace, cathedral ceilings, and oak floors, complemented by two spacious decks. The main floor bedroom includes a queen bed, while the upstairs bedroom offers a double bed. Backing onto our scenic trail system, this cottage provides stunning views of the lake and gardens. The newly renovated bathroom and updated living room with new couches ensure a comfortable stay. Outside, a new stone patio with a fire pit offers the perfect setting for relaxation. Pricing is based on an occupancy of 4 guests, with a maximum of 5.

Three bedroom cottage #7
Our log cottage boasts a spacious deck with unparalleled lake views and double beds in each bedroom. A Napoleon wood stove with glass doors adds warmth and ambiance, perfect for ending a crisp fall day. Ideal for sports enthusiasts, the cottage is conveniently located near our trail system, inviting you to enjoy a moonlit stroll through the property. Inside, you’ll find comfortable memory foam mattresses and newly updated living room furniture. Pricing is based on an occupancy of 6 guests, with a maximum of 7.

We are so blessed to have the wonderful clientele that we do. We have forged wonderful relationships with our visitors, who come from all across Canada, USA and Europe. Many of our tourists have become an extended part of our family. It is a pleasure to upgrade the cottages and facilities every year as appreciation for our guests. Our charming lakeside cottages have been recognized as the most beautiful and well maintained in the Ottawa Valley and we plan on keeping up with that recognition.

Things To Note
All cottages are Pet Free and Non Smoking.
Self-catering/housekeeping units. There is one free boat docking slip per cottage. From late June to Labor Day weekend we rent by the week only (from Sat-Sat). The rest of the year, we rent on a daily basis with a 2 night minimum. If there is a last minute cancellation during the summer, we will post it on the availability page, and at that point will rent the cottage on a daily basis.
All the cottages have full bathrooms. There are well equipped kitchens with a full size fridge, stove and microwave, coffee maker, dishes, utensils and all cooking equipment. In each bedroom the comforters, pillows and blankets are provided, but you will need to bring sheets and pillow cases. Each cottage has a picnic table, fire pit, gas BBQ if requested and deck chairs. The grounds are dotted with many perennial and annual gardens for a stunning show. The grass is always lush even in the driest months, thanks to our irrigation system.
With all of our cottage rentals, the use of our kayaks, canoes and paddle board are complementary. We also provide motorboat rentals so you can get out and explore the lake.
We supply the hardwood for the indoor fireplaces in the cooler seasons. There is also campfire wood available upon request for the outside fire pits.

The Browns Family
Our family has been spending a week each summer at the White Pines for more than a decade! Our youngest has no recollection of life without this beautiful place. I often remark "it's my favourite place on earth". A perfect, peaceful, retreat to reconnect with each other as a family. The cottages are beautiful, the location out of this world, the fishing fantastic, and the hosts: there are no words to fully express how welcoming and wonderful Val, Shawn, and the gang are!
